Sandsurfing may not be too far off as designers have been flocking up new designs such as this Sandviper sandboard. I have seen people do this on a snowboard before, I don’t see why you need a special board for it but the designer explains:
The special conditions on sand need specific equipment, hence this special board. “The front area is wide for more boosts in the sand and gets narrow in the back for aggressive maneuvers. The bottom side is slightly convex from nose to tail for an optimal float angle. The top side is vaulted therefore no sand amasses on the board and transfers more power from the foot to the board by the rampant angle. The foot loops assure an easy step in or out and transmit foothold and control of the board to the driver.” Apparently these loops can be fastened for Goofy or Regular riders.
This does seem like a quite do-able concept for the future surfers and snowboarders who happen to live in a 4-seasoned area where there’s a lot of sand such as Las Vegas…

Here’s a cool surfer trailer AirStream, especially made for surfers traveling in Mini Coopers. I have to say, you might even be able to enjoy some TV via broadband internet and of course, don’t forget to include your portable BBQ in the trailer while you are resting on the beaches.
The new trailer is designed with surfers in mind. The trailer includes Arne Jacobsen’s Egg and Swan Chair and a table set up with four unique Series Seven chairs for guests. Sleek wood paneling will top it off, giving it the ultimate “modern surfer” look. The Mini Cooper S Clubman will be predominately jet black with black “wetsuit” neoprene accents along with green trim. The 22-foot silver Airstream trailer will also enjoy the same exterior details as the Mini but will have an interior designed for beach goers with features such as a waterproof interior and a sun bathing bed. Check out Jeremy Flores, another talented pro surfer on the rise.
From Quicksilver Bio:
In 2007 Jeremy Flores, the youngest competitor ever on the ASP world tour, made history by winning rookie of the year en route to a spectacular 7th place finish. Despite growing up in far flung Madagascar and Reunion Island, Jeremy was recognized early for his talent and moved to Australia at age 8 to devote himself to competitive surfing. Now living in France and New Caledonia, Jeremy speaks 4 languages and is comfortable anywhere in the world. He won the WQS title in 2006 and was a standout in all three Young Guns films. He even beat mentor Kelly Slater last year at Teahupo’o and his fast, aggressive surfing and fiercely competitive spirit are set to make him the first ever European world title contender.
