Today, let me give you some tips on how to ollie really high.
1. Smoke some buds
2. Now you should be feeling really high so go ollie.
Okay, just kidding, here’s the real version:
1. Keep your front foot nearer to center than normally.
2. When you kick your board with the back foot, hit that thang hella hard! (so your board goes near vertical)
3. Then jump as high as you can while bringing your front foot up the board vertically and tuck your knees to your chest.
That’s it, you will have to practice a lot with timing though, it’s not as easy as said but if you keep trying, you should be able to ollie over a garbage basket no problemo.

Well, here’s a couple more crazy skateboard tricks. I like the guy at the end, “One More Time!”, poor dude.
You know what I like about skateboard trick videos? It’s not just the skateboard jumps but the music too.

Here’s a great video tutorial on how to do finger skateboard tricks. Of course, finger skateboard is basically the mini-version of skateboarding and can help you in real skateboarding too.
Enjoy dude!

One of my favorite tricks on a skateboard is a heelflip. Heelflip is basically the opposite of a kickflip where you use your heel to kick out instead of flipping in.
Heelflips can be great for jumping high too as you are kicking more “out” instead of trying to flip your board.
Well, don’t listen to me, watch as Tony Hawk and his friend shows you.

Here’s a video of a skateboarder doing a triple kickflip. A triple kickflip isn’t too different from the regular kickflip except you do 3 flips.
Practice doing double kickflips by kicking the board harder while you jump. If you master the double kickflips, try doing a triple simply by kicking the board harder. (or flippin’ it)
Once you get the hang of triple kickflips, it can get easier than a regular kickflip because you can kick it harder, therefore jump higher too.

Well, I’ve noticed on our twitter account that user skateparks has a website called Skatepark Directory where you can find skateboard parks in your area using Google Maps API. I typed in “94132″ and pretty much got the above screenshot, it seems it’s missing some parks near San Francisco where I live but heck, nice job with it.
I am sure the directory will get better and larger as we go along but feel free to check it out.

Here’s a really cool snowboard multi-tool screwdriver and pipe from Italy. I do personally own a similar screw tool but this one is extra special since it comes with a pipe that you can use while on the slopes.
The device is sturdy, and the screwdriver’s been helpful countless times I’d want to adjust bindings quickly. The handle and spring loaded release for the tool are easily useful with gloves on, and lock at 90 and 180 degree positions for more screwing speed or power. The tape measure is a bit short at 22 inches, so not that great for measuring between the feet when setting wide stances. The entire thing is extremely durable, except the plastic lid for the bits, wrench and pipe. The pipe itself works really really well, as you can see from the photos above where it is being demonstrated, packed, with basis leaves and pencil shavings. The aforementioned plastic shield working as a built in wind shield during lift rides.
